As sole proprietor of Portland, Oregon’s Draplin Design Company, you know Aaron for his vibrant logo, branding, and illustration work, but he’s also a captivating design mentor who’s ready to share the design secrets he’s cultivated over the last 25 years.
Though Aaron’s only hosting a handful of workshops in 2020, we’re hooking you up with the opportunity to participate in two live, interactive workshop sessions. Attend these three-hour workshops and you’ll not only leave empowered as a designer—with insights, tips, and tutorials—but you’ll be regaled along the way with tales from the DDC, and what it means to live a creative life.
Two interactive sessions to choose from
Start your day at 9:00AM (PST) attending our first workshop, Tuning Up Your Work: DDC Shortcuts & Optimizations. You’ll learn the ins and outs of taking control of your creative workflow. Get in the trenches with Aaron learning his go-to methods for file handling, designing by subtraction, vector precision, workspace optimization and more.
Taking place at 1:00PM (PST) is the day’s second workshop, Design A Logo The DDC Way. You’ll learn how to source inspiration, hone your eye, and make your mark by crafting impactful logos. Aaron will share his process for gathering inspiration, sketching, iterating, and building logos in Adobe Illustrator, plus get into important topics like client relations and file handoff.
