One of our core values here at Dribbble is Community comes first. It goes without saying that Dribbble Meetups are a huge part of what helps bring our community together. Last month, 700 Dribbblers attended 13 meetups in 6 different countries! Dribbble Meetups take all kinds of forms and it’s always fun checking out the different activities that took place in each one. From live design tutorials, discussions, smaller intimate gatherings, to photo booth fun, August meetups were a big hit! Check out the fun that took place at some of these meetups below.

“It truly has been inspirational to see all the amazing shots on Dribbble every single day. The only problem is, not every designer on Dribbble — and in this case, UI designer — elaborates on how he or she has come across all the hurdles throughout their entire journey. Meanwhile, it’s important that we, as UI designers, not only discover amazing visuals out there but also learn how to make them. So with that in mind, we thought that it would be inspiring if we brought Dribbble live and gave the stage to senior UI designers who we believed have in-depth knowledge to share their thought processes, challenges, and the do’s and dont’s to other designers. “The Handsome team hosted our first ever Dribbble meetup at our Austin HQ. A little over 100 local creatives came out to hang, sip cocktails, eat nachos, and talk shop. We had a VR station set up by our friends and Banjo, a video game station, a photo booth, and polaroids. Here are some photos from the event! Special shout out to the Austin design community for being a small but mighty force, continuously inspiring and supporting each other, and for making our event a success. “At the 2nd Montevideo Dribbble Meetup we proposed a different dynamic instead of the usual “speakers and listeners”. This time, we all sat around in a circle and discussed experiences, questions, and problems between designers, developers, and project managers. We shared thoughts and solutions to these problems. It was a really nice and warm experience. The attendees left the meetup full of energy and ideas to think and speak about at future meetups - so mission accomplished!”
