Dribbble Meetups both big and small took place this July. Over 500 designers attended 11 Dribbble Meetups in 6 different countries. We love seeing the community engage and connect with each other whether it be through design talks, drinks, games, contests etc… This month, we even had a couple meetups do live streams! Check out a few of the awesome meetups that took place in July below.
Interested in attending a Dribbble Meetup? It’s not too late to join one near you in August in places like Ho Chi Minh, Charlotte, Uyo, Columbus, and more! No meetups happening near you? Maybe you’d like to host your own Dribbble Meetup and help grow the community in your area!
Atlanta, GA @ Rhyme & Reason Design
“At the tail end of July, the team at Rhyme & Reason Design held our third annual Atlanta Meetup, where we toasted to the tropics with a luau-themed event on our office rooftop. Surrounded by 70+ creative pals old and new, it was a perfect summer evening – with an abundance of pizza (Hawaiian, of course), tiny umbrellas, and gold pineapples to set the tone. Our beloved ATL design community came in hot, showing off their skills during our “beach bag swag” Analog Playoff, leaving us all craving a beachy getaway asap. Overall, it was our best Dribbble event yet, and we can’t wait to meet up with our design community again soon! Check out all of the photos of the event on our Facebook Page!”
Manchester, UK @ e3creative
“Manchester’s first Dribbble meet-up at e3creative was a lively event that brought together the creative community in the North West of England. The evening featured an open bar and an active group discussion covering a variety of topics from Sketch vs. Adobe XD to whether or not digital designers should know code, among others. Highlights from the evening are available to view here.”
Indianapolis, IN @ Provider
“The Indianapolis 2018 Summer Meetup was held at Provider. Twelve designers that were a mix of in-house, agency, freelance, and design students met up for a casual get together to chat about work, drink coffee and tasty baked treats, share recent projects, and participate in an Analog Playoff. The playoff was three rounds using a random word generator and we got some hilarious results that got plenty of sticker likes. Attendees got Dribbble swag plus stickers and hand printed craft notebooks made by me (@naomimaria).”
Wroclaw, PL @ Barbara
“At our last edition of Dribbble WroMeetup, over 150 people showed up. We had three great lectures connected with branding, illustration, and typography. The room was packed with creative people who could participate in multiple contests such as a graphic design quiz where they could win Sketch licenses. For the first time we also tried to do a Live Video coverage on Facebook – there were over 20 viewers. After the main part, we went for the after party at the local beach bar. The party went on until late night :) “
Orlando, FL @ CREDO Conduit
“Reina Castellanos talked to us about how her illustration style and how she uses the latest Adobe mobile apps in her process. Be sure to follow her on Instagram and Dribbble as she shares her latest passion: embroidery. If you didn’t get a chance to join us, check out Kenny’s live stream for a first-row seat of yesterday’s demo. MANY THANKS to our friends at the CREDO Conduit for hosting us and continue to support our local creatives!”
Mexico City, MX @ Centraal
“Around 45 designers, coders and web fans gathered for our monthly meetup. With topics that ranged from micro-interactions to coding and design, this meetup’s keynote was delivered by Zura Guerra, a.k.a. ‘Grafofilia’. Interestingly enough, micro-interactions seemed to be one of the topics that had been requested the most by our attendees in previous meetups, and it was a great experience to learn more about them, the logic behind their use, and how to apply them effectively without being invasive. As usual, our hosts at Centraal provided an amazing space for us to meet, as well as cold beer and refreshments for a post-meetup networking session.”
Jalandhar, IN @ Modern Estate
“Our Jalandhar Dribbble Meetup was great!. We had around 25+ RSVPs Everyone had a great idea and we had a number of wonderful questions from the members, and the resulting discussions were really insightful and enjoyable. We had a tremendous evening with the community. It was great to see a lot of designers — experienced as well as young talent and this was a great opportunity to meet the faces behind the profiles and talk about design and the community. We really hope to collaborate again next time.”
