Montreal, Canada @ Shopify

  1. Meetup Posters

“We hosted hosted our 6th MTL Dribbble Meetup at Shopify, but it was the first in our brand new office space. Our lounge area was designed with events like this in mind, so it was great to see it fill up with lots of amazing people. Another thing that made this event special was the fact that we had two amazingly talented speakers—Shelley Tran and Catherine Legros.”

“Process was the theme at December’s Cape Town Dribbble Meetup. The event featured talented illustrators, animators and material design experts—all eager to share the process.

We teamed up with the awesome folks at 22Seven, at their popular theatre venue in the heart of Cape Town. We brought in the talented team at MUTI to help create the rad event logo and BitX, one of South Africa’s top startups, provided beer and pizzas for the night. We had three wonderful speakers—Miné Jonker, Brad Hodgskiss, Jean-Pierre Le Roux, and Alex Koller. We ended off the night with another fun Analog Dribbble Playoff.”

“About 50 designers came to hang out at Animoto’s headquarters this month to hear typeface and lettering designer, and co-founder of the Type@Cooper Program, Jesse Ragan, share stories about his work. We all got a chance to hear about the art, and business of typeface design as Jesse talked about how he and fellow typeface designer, Ben Kiel, have decided to start a new type foundry called XYZ Type. Good times and drinks were had by all.”

We’ll do it again soon - bigger and better. Big thanks to our sponsors, especially Lumi, for providing us with great giveaways.”

“Winston-Salem’s first Dribbble Meetup was a lot of fun! It was great to spend our afternoon with a good group of people from various areas of the design community. The Sign Painters documentary at A/perture Cinema was a great way to kick off the afternoon, and the hands-on demonstrations at Alan Henderson Studio and Centennial Trading Co. were informative and inspiring. The meetup was a perfect ending to the work week!”
