020 - Alphabag Logo Gridding

Keyword: Rules

Logo design can be easy or it can be hard. On one hand, you can draw something for no reason. On the other hand, you can make every single decision rational. You will wonder whether a logo should represent what a company does or it should just be represented as an abstract form.

In Unicorn Vision, we think that it all depends on the state of the company and the product. If we know there is only one single purpose of a product, we most likely will head down to the route to make the logo descriptive. Being descriptive helps the target audience get what it is at first glance when the company is not that well-known.

When we are serving some well-known company, we will choose to dive into the abstract path. Since there will most likely be more than one service from that company. With a broad reach of services, the company most likely will benefit from more abstract symbols than pin down to a single function offering.

There is no strict rule for logo design as long as you understand what is the current status and needs of the brand. You will know which path you need to take.
