Daily UI #016 | Pop-Up / Overlay
The goal of this pop-up is to persuade the user to become a member of Salzar Cosmetics. This is done by promising a discount as a reward for becoming a member. On top of that, I’ve utilised the social psychological law of scarcity to make the user feel as if the offer is more valuable by communicating that the offer is a limited one.
Though, if desired, it should be easy to exit the pop-up as well. Rather than shrinking the “no, thanks” button and hiding it (as seen in dark UI patterns), I’ve kept it the same size as the main call-to-action button to make the “no, thanks” button recognisable as a button too. By doing this, confusion about how to exit the pop-up should be avoided.
