Daily UI #012 | E-Commerce Shop (Single Item)
I’ve noticed that some online shops allow the user to select different colours for the same kind of product. Though, selecting colours can be a slow and annoying process. Sometimes selecting different colours resulted in the page refreshing (or redirecting altogether), which began to frustrate me after checking only a few colours.
Since click–and–wait was the pain point in the process, I prototyped an interaction that allows the user to immediately see what the colour looks like—without requiring the page to refresh thus preventing impatient users from exiting. This is done by utilising the mouse hover to trigger the to be shown colour at once.
