Yerkes-Dodson Law

In 1908, psychologists Yerkes and Dodson demonstrated the relationship between physiological arousal (stress) and performance. The law indicates that performance increases with mental arousal (stress) only up to a certain point. Performance decreases when the level of stress becomes too high.
