X-height

In typography, x-height refers to the height of lowercase letters and this plays a part in readability. When choosing a typeface, look for the x-height of two-thirds or three-quarters of the height of capital letters for good readability. When using a small font size, avoid going lowercase for all letters as the already small x-height will create readability issues.
