Mouseover

Mouseover or mouse hover is an interaction where something visually happens when a mouse cursor is placed over an object or trigger area on a webpage. This is used to emphasise important elements on a website to encourage users to interact with it. Examples of visual interactions commonly used are clickable buttons changing colours and links in content underline or change colour when a mouse is placed on top of the element. Other common objects with the mouseover interaction applied are such as icons, text boxes and tooltips.
