Kerning
Kerning is the spacing between individual characters in a font. This can be of the items usually specified in front-end style guides for typefaces for a project. Most fonts come with built-in kerning rules, but sometimes this may need to be tweaked, particularly for logos and headings when minor spacings between single characters need to be adjusted. Kerning is not to be confused with tracking/letter-spacing where this is applied to the spacing of characters in a block of text.
