They offered a service they coined as the Product Development Partnership, a team-based solution that serves as consultants that help to develop and design innovative custom material solutions based on technical feasibility.
Here's a simplified example of how this works... Let's say Space X approached Ulbrich and is looking to build a uniquely light-weight rocket for a reduced cost on resupply missions. They'd work with Ulbrich's Development Partnership to share their vision. Ulbrich would then assign a specialized team of metallurgists, engineers, and product strategists to help Space X select the appropriate temperature-withstanding alloys, develop a prototype, and handle their supply chain and manufacturing needs.
