08 | Jónsi — Shiver
This one took me by surprise. As you may know by now, I’m so weak when it comes to a record produced by A.G. Cook. Thanks to his past work with Charli and Caroline from the last years, I was so aware how he has te ability to create such cathartic and emotional bops using his signature experimental beats… but with Shiver he took it to a whole different level. A.G.’s beautiful production plus Jónsi’s powerful voice (Sigur Rós frontman) seem to be made for each other. This album feels so emotional and dark at the same time, it just mesmerizes me over and over with every listen.
