Eastern Himalayan Glaciers gone by 2035 🧊

Here's another take on the Gloomy Flyers series, on the topic of Himalayan Glaciers. You read that correctly, we could potentially lose all of it if we don't redefine ourselves - as a whole and as individuals.

But what exactly would happen if all glaciers were to melt?

The first point, rather obvious, sea level would rise. Dramatically. We'd say goodbye to most cities in litoral. Imagine the consequences for countries such as the Netherlands, already below sea level.

We'd also lose water supply during summer and dry months, essential for many ecosystems, impacting plants and animals. Losing melting ice would affect the temperature in streams during those times, possibly killing many aquatic species relying on that cold water.

In this flyer, I'm mentioning Himalayan Glaciers, but understand that this shit is happening everywhere (see the first article for more information).

Hopefully, it won't come to that. It's up to us now.

I'm out for some family time so I won't be posting these upcoming days, but I'll be back early next week.

Cheers
