Biography
Nicole Miazgowicz is a visual artist and illustrator working with graphite, charcoal, watercolor and ink on paper. With a theater performance background, a childhood spent in rural Michigan, and her many travels, Nicole uses her love of storytelling and exploring to inform her research and work. Her work is primarily narrative based, with roots in folklore, herbalism, and historical symbolism. Often focusing on flora and fauna, she draws upon these elements to evaluate and harmonize contrasting themes that are present in our lives and the stories we consume. Nicole also is the sole owner/operator of Lost Fern Goods, a paper goods line featuring her illustrations.
