Nacho Nova

Hello, I’m Nacho, a first generation American artist born & raised in El Paso, TX. I studied graphic design at El Paso Community College & the Art Institute of Pittsburgh Online. I make comics, illustrations, paintings, & podcasts.

I’ve loved drawing comics since I was a young kid, & I bring liveliness & storytelling to all my work, whether it’s traditional or digital media. Although I started podcasting as a hobby (just like drawing, now that I think about it), I’ve come to appreciate it on its own terms for not only the technical process but also the storytelling abilities of podcasting. Podcasting is like graphic design for the ears, and helping creatives tell their story in podcast form and reach a wider audience is a lot of fun.

I’ve been in art shows in El Paso, San Francisco, & Austin, been published in things that don’t exist anymore, & haven’t won any art awards beyond high school. I am, however the recipient of a few awards from dayjobs I’ve worked over the years for being a good temp!
