Visual Communications Designer

Applications close 2 February 2025

NewCampus is looking for an all-rounder Designer (Graphic & Web) with a strong eye for detail, collaborative mindset, and a problem-solving approach to design.

Reporting to the Creative Director, you’ll work closely with our marketing, learning experience, and client liaison teams. Your work will span marketing campaigns, UI design for web and mobile, event collateral, and client-specific projects. This role is ideal for a designer who values creative exploration, brings ideas to life with precision and purpose, and gets excited about the uncharted waters of emerging tech.

Full-time · Remote (APAC timezones preferred)

About the Job:

  • Work across teams to drive creative vision: Collaborate with internal teams (marketing, brand, learning design) and client liaisons to create high-quality visual assets across digital and physical formats. You will impact the design direction in all parts of the business.

About You:

  • All-rounder: You’re able to design anything—from graphics for marketing campaigns, UI for web & mobile, or offline event materials for a variety of IPs and projects. If you don’t know how to do something, you’ll find a way to learn on the spot or get scrappy.

  • Embrace iteration: You understand that design is about iteration, and you get ideas out fast. We work with clients, so designers must translate briefs within tight deadlines and run with feedback and changes.

  • Obsess over quality: You can’t help but make things look pixel perfect, and you find satisfaction in maintaining high standards for aesthetic and functional quality.

  • Independent & collaborative: You’re comfortable working independently, but also eager to contribute ideas and perspectives on design, tech and beyond. You’re a curious person who loves getting their hands dirty.

Your Skills:

  • Design Expertise: 3+ years of working in the field of graphic or web design. Expert proficiency in Figma, Adobe Illustrator/Photoshop, Canva

  • Problem-Solver: Ability to think critically and find effective design solutions even when faced with unfamiliar tools or briefs.

  • Brand Builder: Ability to understand the heart of a brand and creatively translate ideas into engaging and beautiful visual artefacts within a wide range of contexts.

  • Adaptability & Communication: Excels at working independently, meeting deadlines, and adapting in a fast-paced, startup environment. Must have strong online communication skills suited to a fully remote work environment.

  • Bonus Skills: Video editing (Final Cut Pro, After Effects, etc); No-code web design apps (Framer, Webflow); Interest in/experience with Web3 (AI, de-fi, NFTs, blockchain) and the intersection of tech, art and learning.

Benefits of Working with Us:

  • A small, curious team of nerds, artists, meme-lovers and pun-makers

  • Opportunities to learn about emerging tech, business and management skills

  • Fully remote, with the chance to work with a diverse global team across Asia, Australia, Europe, North America, et al.

  • Wellness days, team socials and flexible paid time off

Salary:

  • 35-52k SGD per annum
