Web Designer / Front-End Developer
Job Overview: The Lead Web Designer / Front-End Developer at ACS Web Design & SEO is tasked with creating visually compelling and functionally robust websites across various content management systems including WordPress, Shopify, Wix, and Squarespace. This role involves designing web pages and building interactive web forms using platforms like Formstack, ensuring a seamless user experience that integrates aesthetic appeal with technical performance.
Responsibilities:
Design and implement engaging web layouts, themes, and templates across platforms such as WordPress, Shopify, Wix, and Squarespace.
Translate UI/UX design wireframes into functional code that realizes the visual and interactive elements of web applications.
Develop, customize, and enhance HTML/CSS/JavaScript code for new CMS templates, while also improving existing templates.
Design and build custom web forms using form builders like Formstack, ensuring they are optimized for both user experience and performance.
Collaborate closely with marketing, content, and technical teams to ensure that designs align with overall website architecture and business objectives.
Proactively work with clients to refine website and form designs based on their business needs and feedback.
Maintain responsive design standards across all projects, ensuring compatibility across different browsers and mobile devices.
Stay abreast of the latest web design trends and technologies to continuously improve skills and service offerings.
Develop creative concepts for display ads that align with the marketing objectives and campaign goals.
Collaborate with the marketing team to understand the target audience and create compelling visual solutions that engage viewers.
Design visually appealing ad layouts using graphic design software like Adobe Photoshop or Illustrator.
Ensure that designs maintain brand consistency in terms of colors, fonts, and style. Create multiple design variations for A/B testing to determine which designs perform best in terms of click-through and conversion rates.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in Web Design, Graphic Design, or a related field is preferred.
At least three to five years of experience in web design and front-end development, supported by a strong portfolio.
Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and familiarity with other visual design tools (Adobe XD, Sketch).
Expert knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and CSS pre-processing platforms such as LESS and SASS.
Experience in designing and implementing web forms using online form builders like Formstack.
Demonstrated ability to implement responsive web design and adhere to best front-end development practices.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with Microsoft technologies including Visual Studio, Visual Studio Code, and ASP.NET Core MVC Razor templating.
Proficient in using source code management tools such as Git.
Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of managing client expectations and working collaboratively within a team.
