Everett Helm

My name is Everett Helm, I am a Graphic Designer based in Chattanooga. I make minimal, detail oriented, and refined digital and print design work. These characteristics come from my belief in reduction and restraint as an avenue for growth both in art and within my personal life. Discipline is the key to freedom. This personal philosophy of mine comes across in my work through my selective use of color and my simplistic compositions. I aim to make sleek, clean designed objects, that at times can privilege physicality and pay homage to materials of the past. I am particularly interested in fashion, furniture, architecture, and graphic design of past eras, details of which all show in my work. When researching previous work, I aim to find designs that stand the test of time. I attempt to take elements of those works and implement them into my design practice, as I believe that creating timeless work is my ultimate goal in order to create the most refined compositions possible.
