Biography
Hi! I’m Mary Atwood, or 艾予馨. My love of messy exploration, creative thinking, tiny details, and the awesome world of color have and continue to guide my work and career path. I never have an empty desk: it is always covered with plants for studying, gouache and watercolor, and an unnecessarily large collection of brushes and pencils for thorough mark-making. I’ve enjoyed both in-house and freelance design roles, creating home decor goods, stationery, textiles, and gift products carried at Target, Nordstrom, Macy’s, Whole Foods, and lovely local boutiques, among other places. Ever inspired by fairy tales, folklore, and the beauty and strange wonders of flora and fauna, my passion is to learn and grow through making work that sparks both curiosity and inspiration in others.
I am currently open to freelance and collaborative projects, and am seeking representation.
