I'm UX/UI designer and product manager, ex. project manager and mobile dev. studio owner.
My experience allows me not to focus only on the visual component. First of all, I think about the business metrics of the future product.

Designing from scratch, I first create a user journey map. I make sure that future users have the shortest possible access to the desired button.

When it comes to redesign, the first thing I do is ask for application metrics and target action to get the best out of my work.

I also keep in mind that the applications I make have a modern look and are in line with user needs.
