Biography
Andrea (Dre) grew up in Hong Kong, moved to Montreal, and discovered as much fluidity in her career as her travels along the way. Her illustrations and design work reflect her journey as a historian, chef, and now creative designer. After her tenure as Creative Director at international restaurant chain Thai Express, she now creates design solutions as a freelance Creative Designer. Analytical, strategic, and research-oriented, Dre finds inspiration digging through dishes from different cultural backgrounds, their cooking methods, and ingredients that result from their respective socio-economic circumstances. Beyond a pretty plate of food, Dre's culinary illustrations are a package of information pertaining to the area and time from where it originated. This thorough understanding of the subject material is the true secret behind her visual recipes.
