Biography
Don Flores has 18 years of experience as a multi-disciplinary designer working within multiple mediums ranging from 2D, 3D, stop motion, and live action. Most of his career was spent at Laika Animation Studios as a concept designer on many TV spots for major companies like Apple, Kellogs, Mars, Target, and Toys R Us. He was a designer and matte painter on Laika's first three feature animated projects, Coraline, Paranorman, The Box Trolls, and character designer for the film, A Very Harold & Kumar Christmas. His work has then expanded to concept designing for several games, working with major design agency Weiden+Kennedy on several VR projects for Samsung, KFC, and character designs for Nike Golf. He recently was a matte painter for an AR project for the latest season of, Stranger Things and character illustrations for Facebook/Metaverse.
