Hola!
I’m Carmela, a Brazilian illustrator (and sometimes animator!) currently living in Barcelona.
Though my work is often bold, colorful and lighthearted, it is really important to me to touch on issues I am passionate about in my work, making sure to be as diverse, inclusive, and accessible as possible.
Illustration is my tool; through my work, I strive to break down paradigms and stereotypes about bodies, portraying women who are confident, strong, present, badass, and who take up space.
