Biography
Anja Slibar is an illustrator based in Brooklyn, New York. She creates products, works on bespoke projects and collaborates with like-minded brands and people.
Her clients include The New Yorker, The New York Times, The Washington Post, Refinery29, Urban Outfitters, Nylon Magazine, Bustle Magazine, Third Man Records and Island Records amongst others. She illustrated music videos for inspiring young artists like Anna Akana and Bishop Briggs that got more than 5 million views on YouTube and was screened at South by South West as one of the best-animated music videos in 2019.
People describe her style as a mixture of minimalist design and detailed ink drawing. She prefers the organic use of ink and paper but her work appears in both digital and print media. She loves to work in high contrasts between black and white and finds inspiration in a female subject.
