Biography
I grew up just outside Washington, DC and received my BFA from the Maryland Institute College of Art. I currently reside in a Baltimore rowhouse with a drafting table and a cat.
I published my first book, The Midnight Ride of Paul Revere, for National Geographic and have worked steadily since it's publication as a freelance illustrator mostly in the world of educational illustration.
My editorial work is done on scratchboard (or more and more often now...via a tablet set up to act as a scratchboard) before being rendered digitally as vectors and I push for an expressionistic feel with these images.
