Biography
Born in New York City, growing up in Long Island New York, at age 13 my family moved
to Port-au-Prince, Haiti. Moving to, instead of moving from, Haiti, profoundly influenced
my life and creativity. Influences from art, to music and fashion, my feeling is that the are all
interconnected forms of art. This influenced my color since and a love for bright tropical
colors.
I can’t remember when I started to draw, but I had my first art show in kindergarten.
As a young girl I was obsessed with anything that had to do with fashion, sewing or
creating. I was lucky enough to have fashion design classes offered in my high school
were I learned to drape at age 16. This led me to F.I.T. to study fashion design. Majoring
in haute couture, tailoring, ready to wear and knits.
I received Lord & Taylor’s AMERICAN DRESS ADDRESS by Oscar de la Renta, one of my
favorite designers.
After graduating with a Bachelors, I started working on 7th avenue. Designing for major
brands such as Donna Karan, DKNY, Calvin Klein,
New York City, NY
