Melissa Richardson

Hello! I am a designer who enjoys working with a diverse array of materials from fabrics to metals using graphic design and illustration to bring creative works to life. Growing up in Austin, Texas in a home that supported the arts, I've spent years co-running CiMi Shine, a design-inspired company, self-publishing books, and baking chocolate cookies daily. My inspiration is found by looking for the good in everyday, everywhere, in everyone and everything. From going to the beach, the mountains, inspired by hard work and passion, I appreciate supporting local craft, sustainability, and textiles. I thoroughly believe in the power of the arts to promote confidence, creativity, and unity within humanity, for as an illustration major at the Savannah College of Art and Design, I aspire to travel the world creating collections of ethnic-inspired pieces alongside women while promoting infinite possibility for our future’s youth.
