Grew up in the 90s ganged-ruled streets of northeast Los Angeles, in a time you'd deadbolt your doors and windows as soon as the sun went down. As a kid, I'd take my chubby, rice-fed german shepherd to the nearby hills to hunt for gopher snakes and kill the nazis I saw in my dad's WWII documentaries. When I found skateboarding, I soaked in all the stickers and aliens and bigfoots that came with it. Now I'm interested in our connection to nature and what we can learn from ancient cultures' stronger ties to the natural world. Maybe we can still save ourselves, even if it's for a millisecond.

I used to want to be a famous graphic designer, but learned that could be side effects of childhood issues. Pretty good to know. Now I try to make things that bring joy into these few milliseconds we appear in this universe while pondering time and space. Like, if you stand next to a 1,000 years old tree, does it think we're just fruit flies going by? Still need plenty of attention though.
