Biography
John P. Dessereau is a native New York illustrator and fine artist. His work is widely inspired ranging from comic books and street art, to surrealism and impressionism. His practice consists of both traditional and digital methods. John has a BFA in illustration from The School of Visual Arts and a MFA in the same field from The Fashion Institute of Technology. Throughout his career, he has created artwork for The New York Times, The 2020 Census and Uniqlo. As well, John has led workshops at both of his alma maters and at Apple. In 2019 he was awarded a Merit Award from 3x3 Magazine. John aspires to create more for the editorial, educational and advertising spaces and is passionate about the future of the arts ability to inspire change.
