Gertrud Oberg

I am a classical art student starting my studies at the Florence Academy of Art in Italy. I believe that acquiring a technical skillset in art is essential for mastery, after which I could depict my own ideas and vision with higher accuracy and skill. Therefore I am on the road to mastery, learning after the renowned masters of the past, such as Bouguereau, Ingres and Gérôme. Then, my idea would be to create scenes based on Baltic and Slavic mythology, with a slight twist of my own. I adore 19th century standard of beauty, Academic art and Art Nouveau style, but also oddities and creatures. To conclude, I hope to work on commissions, but also as a concept artist.
