My work investigates a multitude of themes that often confront me in my life - femininity, mental health, sexuality, spirituality, and fantasy. Within my life, most predominately in my childhood, I experienced vast amounts of dissociation due to trauma. This dissociation expressed itself through visions and obsessions with faeries wrecking mishaps in my daily surroundings only to take me away to some far-off place. Not knowing why I had these visions, at the time, I now question and regularly connect these occurrences to other themes, such as Scottish folklore and mental health. I work to dissolve meaning through mediums such as oil painting, illustration, and jewelry design.
