Emil Bertell

Emil Bertell is one of the few Finns making a living from type design. Educated as a graphic designer, his career kicked off as an illustrator. The type bug caught Emil eventually and he moved on to become a full time type designer around 2011. He’s mostly known for his script fonts, many of which have become blockbusters. However, Emil also masters a more restrained design, particularly evident in the several display serif families he’s designed.
