Biography
I'm a UX researcher, interaction designer, and digital anthropologist with a passion for understanding users and their stories.
I came to UX by way of anthropology, which I studied in college. Originally interested in becoming an archaeologist (inspired by a boyhood love of Indiana Jones and The Mummy), I developed a fascination with stories, and how humans use them to frame their worldviews through imagery and language. I stumbled into usability testing several months after graduating and taking a job in healthcare IT as a software tester; I fell in love with the discipline, and in the years since I've centered my career around understanding users and sharing their stories. Today, as a quality manager and usability advisor in the healthcare industry, I work to ensure that physicians and nurses are given high quality tools that make it easier to provide patient care.
