Cátia Roça

I am a multimedia designer and a founder of the Apostrophe & Slash group. In the scope of my bachelor's degree, I interned at APPACDM Coimbra as a multimedia designer. Afterward, I took the Master's degree in Design and Multimedia at the University of Coimbra. My dissertation regarded the creation of special effects for theatre plays, which may be holographic or projected over scenarios, and can interact with the actors in real-time. Thereafter, I became a graphic and UI/UX designer at OneSource, Coimbra. Currently, I work as a freelance designer and I am a member of “Há Baixa”, a non-profit association for creative social practices.

My work was nominated for the international award "The Young Ones ADC Award 2019", and featured at the "Porto Design Biennale" (2019) and the "Processing Community Day Porto" (2021).
