Biography
Back in 2008 I was looking for a way to be around my kids more while also making money to raise them and freelancing seemed to be the best option. So I started teaching myself Adobe Illustrator and entering logo design contests. First it was on Hatchwise. Then on 99designs, LogoArena, LogoTournament and a few smaller ones. As my skills developed, the winnings multiplied and in a matter of months I was able to quit my engineering job and freelance full time. In the years that followed I opened two graphic design Etsy shops, that connected me with people around the world and got me raving reviews. I also became a Top Level Designer on the 99designs platform and helped a few local businesses with their branding and social media.
Meanwhile I took Photoshop classes, advanced Illustrator classes, I learned about chatbots, about social media marketing, Facebook Ads Manager, copywriting. And I even learned about Wordpress and created a few websites.
