RippleNet Home is a payments platform that allows members on the Ripple network to send and receive payments, connect and partner with each other, analyze corridors and access data analytics on their own transactions.

This empty state will occur in the payments list view when there is no data to show. The idea behind this illustration is that you can only hear crickets when there is silence. I used crickets as a visual metaphor to emphasize inactivity.

Due to the global nature of RippleNet Home, I wanted to make sure that the cricket reference holds true in multiple cultures. In Eastern cultures, cricket sounds are referenced in poetry and literature during silent nights of the autumn months. In Western cultures, it is used as a humorous way to describe absolute silence or no communication.
