Mazda 100 Years
Our client, Mazda UAE, wanted a video that tells the story of Mazda's history in an engaging and informative way. To start with, we thought about different ways in which the video can be written, designed, and animated. After researching several references and styles, we came to an agreement that the horizontal technique would work best with a video that has a storytelling nature, with 3D animation along the way.
The process started with our copywriters, Nassar and Shaza, who spent days thoroughly researching Mazda's history, how it started, how it developed, how it was in line with Japanese history, what technologies does it introduce along the way and its vision for its future cars. They compiled all their findings then started sorting through the information and organizing them to come up with the best flow and the most important data to be included in the video. After this part was done, Shaza wrote the script based on the agreed-upon flow and information, going through several rounds of editing, proofreading, and fine-tuning and making sure that the script was easy to read through and matches the brand's tone of voice.
Now comes the design part! Nader was the one responsible for conceptualizing and executing the art direction, compositing, and retouching. He designed each frame with specific elements that were relevant to the storyline and script, which added more depth to the video and helped transition the video from idea to reality.
Then the video was passed on to Mazen, who worked his magic in bringing the video to life through animation, transitions, and sound effects, making sure that the end result was a compelling and engaging video. The last layer was adding the voice over to tell this enticing story.
