Contractbook - Shared Folders & Bulk Actions

A highly requested feature has arrived! You are now able to share your documents with other team members by placing it in a Shared Folder. This way you can easily manage and control who has access to your important documents. Here you can learn more about Shared Folders
Objective
Part of the objective was to streamline the process of organizing documents around the shared folder and make sure the user's workflow will remain efficient, even if he has to deal with loads of documents. This is why we introduced multi-select and bulk actions. You can now add multiple documents to a shared folder or move multiple documents between private folders and gain valuable time.
Design Process
Our design process in Contractbook always starts with solid research. I spent a fair amount of time checking different UX approaches and outlining best practices, defining pain points and matching the findings with our specific use cases. I've decided to rely on a hover function to save space and keep the minimal design. Hovering over document reveal check-box. After the user selects the first document, the rest of the documents enters select mode, inviting the user to interact with the UI.
