Open source plugin and packages are the keys to finishing an IT project in a short amount of time. Nowadays along with high-quality frontend frameworks provide in the market like Flutter, applying the idea of a widget to build the user interface is very convenient.

On one hand, we are enjoying the convenience of what the plugins bring. On the other hand, when there is an update of the framework or the operation system, we may suffer from the application break without knowing how to properly fix it. This is because there may be some changes on the coding side during the OS upgrade that require to update the coding in the plugin itself. This is the dilemma to decide the number of plugin and dependence to use in the development phase.

The last thing we want to point out is sometimes the plugin will also become the design constraint as it may not be customizable. That's why it is very important to do technical research along with design research before presenting the work to your client. Watch out for the time and resource constraint, so you will know which way to choose in order to guide the project to the right path.
