Reflections Book Design

Under the double sided dust jacket, the cover design is set in a structure that repeats throughout the book, listing all the major American collections. Here, we blind emboss the names that are later highlighted and featured on their respective title pages.

One of the restrictions we had designing the book was (of course) budget. It had to be softcover, but needed to support the weight of 700 pages at a 9x12 size. Our solution was to have the cover fold under itself, effectively making it double thick.
