Max Reload and the Nether Blasters - Motion Picture Logo

I was hired onto a motion picture called, Max Reload and the Nether Blasters, a film about a group of badass kids (nerds) fighting the forces of evil.
I was hired on as a lead background artist, where I got to paint a dozen scenes in a late-80's cartoon theme (I'll share that later).

Once my mision was finished I was hired to brand the film with a logo mark. Which would be used by the legendary Paul Shipper on his posters and many forms of media.

I was given very exact and different elements for inspiraton. Much like the movie itself, it needed to capture the zeitgest of a very specific era of pop culture. The greatest struggle was to make so many different fonts work together.

The greatest part of this project was the research, spending literally hours upon hours in old video game magazines and looking at vintage toys, discovering fonts, colors and HOW to build such textures in vector format.

Check out the attached file to see the final vector asset.
