Cradle Vital Signs Alert: Android Application

The Cradle VSA (Vital Signs Alert) is a portable medical device that can read a patient's blood pressure and heart rate. It has undergone many different trials in refugee camps as well as remote villages throughout Africa.

Our team created and designed a robust, secure, and intuitive technology solution for the Cradle VSA that replaces the current paper-based patient tracking system.

As a complete visual overhaul, I designed the interface for the Android mobile application and React (JavaScript) web application as a highly cohesive experience to be simple, clear, and understandable.

Being non-technical and untrained, the Village Health Team users should experience clear labeled operations with easily distinguishable sections. Untrained medical personnel should not be intimidated.

A recognizable card component was used to contain and categorize the same entities and information. In addition, the color gradients as well as many key components were matched between between both applications for cohesiveness.
