Real life skills such as money management are essential growing up. Students need to understand how money can be used for multiple things and how work is put into earning it. This teaches them how to make decisions regarding money- what is wise and what is not. Most parents do not say no to even an outrageous present that their child asks for as they really try their best to give them everything. But, they do not realise that this may in fact affect them later in life when they need to buy things for themselves. This leads to them going into debt. Well, yeah, this is the worst case scenario but, it is possible. So, to avoid this if we start teaching real life math to students in school, it will go a long way.
