Something that I've learned about even more at my current workplace (UIHI) is the power of a single story. Especially when a single story is intentionally created for a means to an end.
MLK jr was more than a guy with a dream, more than the pictures in suits that we only ever see. So here is an illustration to depict he wasn't ghandi-like but actually considered radical during his time. And finally, he dressed pretty fly when not in a full suit.
This is the second piece I've created exploring a black art-style inspired by Jacob Lawrence and William Johnson.
