Shishimai

Shishimai (獅子舞) is the Japanese Lion Dance. It is often danced at festivals and New Year holidays. You can approach the “shishi” (lions) to be “bitten” on the head - that way it is said that the magic of shishi will protect you from evil spirits and will drive away bad luck.
