Optimal Inventory - WIP

I'm working on a little personal project that has been sitting in my head for the last 3 years, I really want to bring it to life, but haven't sat down to flesh it all out, hopefully 2020 will provide the time needed.

The app would be targeted at Specialty Coffee shops (or all coffee shops) the idea is to link a POS system up with an app where you can build recipes for each of your items and then tie those recipes to trackable inventory items, like cups, lids, milk & coffee for example to an item within the POS - than every time that item is sold the inventory app could update with proper numbers and a manager or owner could keep track of inventory levels.

I know that these tools exist but they usually require a bar code for each item, what if we automated that part away by building up tools in the backend that could automatically track that & store information about trends etc.

This tool could save money for owners by not having to pay someone and get rid of a pesky task of manually inputting inventory every week (which not many people like to do).

An additional piece to this would be a dashboard where you could see trends, and filter to see levels of activity for different items (maybe even based on weather - bc everyone knows when it's cold outside everyone wants a coffee).
