Smiles for Miles Preliminary Designs

Design process for a logo assignment; the client wanted a wordmark logo with a fun icon or character included in it as well. "Their new design needs to be urban yet inviting; memorable yet soft." I'm leaning towards the first one with the tooth in the word, "Smiles". I'd certainly love to hear which one my fellow Dribbbler's like more if you have a second. Do you feel I met the clients need/request?
