Edify Design Concepts
Edify is a courseware reader for the company Stukent that is meant to help instructors build a bridge between better digital classroom experience and progress.
At the very beginning, Edify was a Wordpress Library that was mainly lists and PDFs for instructors to look over, along with video case studies.
This was a design made from blank. As many of the other web applications that Stukent owns they have a sidebar on the left that allows the user to navigate the web app. For simplicity and familiarity I decided to keep the sidebar so that users, both instructors and students, can identify more with the overall Stukent Brand.

The first image shows the first impression of a user after they click on "Explore All Books" on Stukent's homepage (shown in 2nd example).

After picking a book the user is taken to a chapter in that book, "Introduction" if is the first-time reader, or a previous page they were on. When choosing a different book with different color schemes the highlights change as shown on the 4th example.

the 5th image shows what happens when the user clicks on the comment/notes icon at the top of the sub-navigation bar.
These are just concepts, which aren't far off from the actual product that is out in the wild.
