Florence Typeface Work in Progress

I'm currently working on a serif typeface, working title "Florence" (the one on the right). It all started as a classic sharp didone but I didn't like the cold construction.

I redesigned the character set I have and started to round serifs and bend them in a very organic way until it feels right.

The inspiration comes from flat brush calligraphy.
